The Play
A new piece created for and with the company with professional writer Vivian French, and with original music by John Quirk. The piece told the story of the mysterious death of Freya Fox, a girl who had arrived into the dangerous underground of an urban wasteland, having previously lived a quiet, rural existence. Showing the inquiry set up to discover the truth of her death, and flashbacks of her time coming to terms with city life, the piece was a fast-moving and stylised account of a diverse group of characters battling to survive.

Course Notes
Alongside the production of Freya Fox the company also created 2 new productions with vastly different themes. "Not By Choice" encouraged the company to experiment with new writing under the direction of Kevin Matherick, and looked at the new wave of refugees arriving in Britain . "Departure Lounge" was devised by a smaller group alongside the writing of company member Miranda Roszkowski and looked at a collection of characters thrown together as they await their flights. Nick Evans oversaw the process. Both pieces were performed in one programme at the Taliesin in July 2000.
