The Play
Under the Moon was a piece created for primary aged children using the stories of nationally renowned children's writer Vivian French. In the style of the successful "Grimm Tales" staged a year previously, it staged six of Ms.French's stories; The Thistle Princess, Little Ivan, the Little Beekeeper, Tomkin and the Three Legged Stool, Under The Moon and The Apple Child.

Course Notes
Vivian French, the writer of the tales, worked closely with the company drawing on her own experience as an actor and writer in children's theatre. Performed as part of the National Year of Reading, the piece was staged on the stage of the Taliesin with curtains closed and primary children sat in the round.
